New foil claims to offer far better ride quality. Curious to see how this unfolds..

That sloping top tube makes it look like a Giant. Hopefully it's just the angle of that pic.

In terms of performance it might be really good but frames like foil, venge, new madone etc. will look awfully dated in a couple of years IMHO.

I agree. It looks like the Giant Defy.

Saw one in person. Its a Defy meets the Canyon front end. So ugly.

Thinking the same thing, and believe the TT is sloping much more. Almost looks like a comfort/endurance frame. The more I look at it, the less I like it compared to a few other newer framesets.

I really like the new Trek Madone 9.9 frame, but at nearly $6k for the Frame, Trek has gone off the deep end, not that I've ever owned one.

But two guys I train with have Madone framesets, nice looking frame. But no frame is worth $6k IMO. At least Scott has their heads screwed on right compared to Pinerello, BMC and now Trek with their latest high-end offerings.

Scotts were made in the Giant factory.. don't see why the new Foil will be any different.

At a glance it reminds me of a Solace. I do not like the look of a Solace :(
Let's finish the ride with a 20% grade.

I'm not sure about full bikes but the premium frames are not due into retailers until May

Yes, that sloping top tube...really turning me off...gheez..maybe the photo angle in that picture, I don't recall it other photos of the side it looking so sloped?? That angle in the photo looks hideous.

Don't know what I dislike more, the dog hunchback taking a dump of the Venge/Trek Madone 9, or a severely sloping TT like the new foil?!?!?!

Edit, you know, I really think it is the paint job that makes it looks more sloped upon second look. Here is the Premium matte black, not that sloped looking, but you see that other scheme, and it looks worse than it is.

This I don't mind and looks cool. Nice.

Has anyone built a 2016 foil? I just got a frameset and can't figure out how to assemble the seatpost binder :noidea:

Edit: figured it out, scott embracing their inner WW again with the least intuitive seatpost wedge I've ever seen.

They look just as sloped and ugly in real life.

Eh I think it looks alright in person, the inline stem seems to add to the visual impact of the top tube. A -17 stem will go a long way.
