I've got a problem with the head set!
The bottom ring won't slide all the way down the fork but the bearing will slide all the way down!
Is it press fit? I was thinking it would just slide all the way down without needing to be pressfit.

Like the paint scheme - seems reminiscent of the 2015 MTN Qhubeka Cervelo's.

Sorry, but what frame size is that weight for?

Installation of the crown race will typically require use of a crown race installation tool like the Park Tool CRS-1 which is basically a slide hammer with a proper diameter race. Some have advocated the use of proper diameter PVC plumbing pipe as a suitable alternative but without the insert supplied with the Park tool, there is a possibility of damage to the 'face' of race that upon which the bearing seats.

Paint Scheme is Nissan 350z/370z Gun Metal

Frame size 56cm

Thanks for the info on the crown race! I have every tool except the one I need! PVC pipe sounds like the perfect solution.

just a quick update.

I got the crown race in with the PVC pipe - no issues.
The bb30 bearings went in with very little issues.
Crank was a bit hard to push through the bearing I had to rubber mallet it a bit to get the shaft to go through.
cables went through the frame without a problem.
working on the front and read derailleur tonight.

Very Happy with the paint job and the quality of the frame. It looks well manufactured.

Ack! I realize that might have been your photo setup but I really discourage you from clamping the frame by any of the carbon tubes, and instead suggest installing the seat post and clamp to that.

I am only using the work stand for the small stuff, all the heavy stuff like the crank work was done with the frame on a work bench (dining table  )

Updated build picture. I am almost ready to connect the derailleur cabling.

Build almost complete. Run into one problem. The cable housing provided by SRAM is not sufficient to complete the installation. I am short a about .5 to 1 meter. I also noticed that the cable housing I installed from the handlebars is too short, I think I will either have to completely remove the cable housing from the whole bike and start again or somehow add cable housing to the current installation (Preferable). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wow that's impressive. Can you us give details on the build ? What wheelset are you using ?

Here is my build spreadsheet. The weight actually came out less than expected. There are a couple of differences from the spreadsheet.

1. Conti 4000s II installed when weighted - they are 100g heavier.
2. Cheap Michelin inner tubes installed

Wow! This is a nice thread! :-)

I'm also thinking about VB-R-077/LTK118 or LTK007 or VB-R-022 frames for my new carbon fiber road bike build. Looking forward to read your future reviews regarding riding quality, feelings, etc. of that frame.

Some additional questions:

1. What's your body height/tall and weight?
2. What's the frame size you have?
3. Did you have any issues with front derailleur?

Thanks! Waiting for your new comments.
