[Vote] Bora Ultra vs. Mavic CCU
Moderator: robbosmans
I've asked you to vote for Bora 35 Bright / Dark / Bora 50 Bright / Dark.. a while ago.
Some people talked about Shimano groupset / Campagnolo wheelset mismash..
So now I want you to vote for Bora Ultra vs Mavic CCU. Please vote for me.
Perspectives on performance and looks frame would also help. Thanks..

You're going to base your decision off what dudes on the internet like? How about running with what you like?
And performance wise, its been covered ad nauseam. Both are terrific wheels.
Again, go with what you like.

No.. I'm going to make this poll as reference. Final decision will be mine of course. Thanks.

Kristoff's bike at Flanders had an updated, wide front rim. Might be commercially available soon?

Thank you.. I saw that article too.
Maybe I should wait for the revision.
If Shimano then Mavic.
They match better this frame as well.

Mavic looks better but Bora is better in terms of performance (smoother cup/cone bearings vs cartridge bearings and the body runs on bearings (Bora) instead of a nylon bushing (Mavic)).
Remember Shimano has swapped the cartridge bearings for cup/cone bearings on their top range wheels a few years ago after advice of pro-team mechanics. Most of the high end wheels have cup/cone bearings as they run smoother.

I prefer cup and cone too, though almost all of it, perhaps all of it, is in the head
Look at CCU's track record in the pro peloton. One of the most successful wheels of all time - as is Bora for that matter
With Shimano you can't have Boras so I vote Spinergy
