899€ for frameset in Madrid, Spain. Wee bit more than Canyon but would be nice to buy in local bike shop.
Anybody have a link to geometry specs? I couldn't find last night.

I love cheap, solid and aggressive aluminum crit bikes. This doesn't have that flair.

I think I am going to buy an Émonda ALR. what price do you expect to pay in relation to the RRP. 5%, 10% less or exactly as the RRP is stated?
I see the shops wholesale price is about 50% of what they sell at.

Given the strong dollar at the moment, I'd say you should expect to pay close to MSRP (RRP).

huh?

but talkin' of paint, it says the frame is 1050g unpainted, does that mean anondized or before being anondized?
any of you fellahs who work in the shops had a chance to weigh up this framset.

Smoothed welds look great, but you can't actually tell that they're of any real quality - you can grind down a sloppy weld and have it look just as nice as a great one would if it were ground down.

I guess it saves some weight though, and Trek's welding probably isn't bad, but grinding down welds is traditionally a novice's trick for hiding mess-ups.

I've weighed a ALR 6 in size 52, 7.78kg. Pretty decent weight if you take in mind those Bontrager Race wheels weigh +1800 grams.

US pricing: $989.99 for the frameset, $1759.99 for the 5 (105 build), and $2249.99 for the 6 (Ultegra). Looks like they've gone right in line with the 'equivalent' CAAD10 build. Whatever you think about Trek/the Emonda, I'm loving the fact that the big brands are taking alu seriously again - just going to mean more and better budget weenie options down the line.

Hadn't seen that Propel SLR until today, that's some pretty impressive tube shaping.
