Rear brake cable goes through the top tube and I can use internal stops or drill them out to allow a continuous cable run.

What would your preference be?

Thanks folks.

Benefits to both.
Interrupted gives you less compression over the length of the cable run. (Top tubes don't compress noticeably)
Continuous has "less" risk of dirt causing problems.

Personally I'd use the internal stops and get a sharper brake feel. But it depends on what the bike is. Hack, cross, commuter........

If it's a bike that will be used in nasty cross races, I'd go with the continuous run. It's really annoying to replace cables/housing multiple times during a cross season due to contamination. Otherwise I'd stick with the interrupted.

Sealed cables like Gore/Jagwire Elite/etc. Best of both worlds.

I'd worry about the housing rattling against the top tube if you drill out the stops.
