I cleaned the bike for the first time since I bought In November. I've just used it on the trainer but now I've used it outdoors two times in dry conditions. The bike got a bit dusty so I thought that it was time for the first cleaning and used blue Morgan chain cleaner and got marks on the chain stay. Used blue Morgan for years and no problem, my wife got a Scott with matte coating and no issues. What to do?ImageImage

The bike is brand new, warranty issue??

Do you love the bike? slap a chain stay protector over and ride it! The new matt finish from Specialized does not shed oil and cleaners like the gloss as you show it gets stained from oils. I had the same problem with my wifes new Ruby.
Let's finish the ride with a 20% grade.

I would ignore it. It's a bicycle, not a sink.

Don't use alcohol, use Morgan Blue matt carbon cleaner.

Check it out
