Enve 4.5 Clinchers
Moderator: robbosmans
Last week we managed to get an advance set of 4.5 clinchers from Enve. This is the rim we've been waiting for as it really seems to be the ideal do-it-all depth.
Came in at a respectable 469 grams and 489 grams front and rear. Only about 40 grams heavier than 3.4 clinchers and 100 grams lighter than the 6.7 set. 4.5 is a bit deceptive because the actual depth is 48mm and 56mm.
Also they're a new refined shape not just a deeper version of the 3.4 Widths are up to 27mm and 25.5mm.

They making a tubular version of these wheels, too?
Yes. The rims are on Enve's website.
Our first production tubulars are here and came in at 372 and 409 grams. Roughly the same as 3.4 tubulars which are 377/398 grams.

Should we now be expecting a next generation 3.4 tubular which is lighter than the current 3.4 tubular?

You do realise in Italy they're €1000-€1200 more than Bora Ultra, right? I imagine they'll go up in price with the weak Euro soon as well.
