Headset expander plugs

If you truly are looking to shave weight, you don't need an expander plug on the bike passed it's initial duty of preloading the headset. Your stem should be holding the steer tube in place so that it doesn't slip and cause play in the headset bearings and race. Though if it comes loose on the road, you're pretty much screwed.

I've used the super heavy FSA ones, the Specialized expander plug and a Tune Gumgum. They all do what they're supposed to.

In my experience the Tune GumGum unit slips badly.
I have Extralite plugs on 4 of my bikes, never really had a problem with any of them.
The MCFK appears to have more knurling (for better grip?), but maybe that's overkill.

Haven't tried the Omni Racer, but they should stop advertising every one of their parts as "World's Lightest". NONE of them are.
