Specialized unveils aggressive position Power road saddle
Moderator: robbosmans
As a big fan of the Romin, I am very interested to give this a try - especially as i feel that the Romin's only weakness is
that it is a little awkward when in a very aggressive position. This sounds perfect.
Anyone know when they will be available?

they will be available this month
Quit whining and go ride your bike!!
It's too bad there is no 130mm size. Specialized has been removing the 130mm size from various saddle models. The Sworks Toupe no longer comes in 130mm for example. Sucks for those of us with narrow sit bones.
I sort of like the look of this, but it's not that different in concept from other noseless designs. I would like to compare it to the adamo breakaway, but I think the adamo has more useable positions including a long nose you can get out on. Either way, glad to see manufacturers trying to make better saddles. I put a fizik antares back on another bike the other day and hated it, it fits but it's so bad on the rivet.

One reason I have never had a Specialized/S-Works saddle. Pity as some of them look good. I am 182 tall, yet my butt is best on a <130mm saddle.
MAMIL? Never. O.F.I.L. yeh! (Old F**ker in Lycra)
I'm using a Toupe Pro, which does still come in 130mm.
The S-works Toupe did a couple years ago, but I got the Pro as I felt that being 10g lighter was not worth $100, and I was concerned about the edges of the saddle wearing my shorts.
(both designs are different now).

side profile.
Looks interesting. I am also a romin fan and would be willing to try this.
I think I read somewhere the reason specialized is removing the 130mm and adding the 168mm. I do not remember exactly so do not want to spread false rumours but I remember it being pretty interesting.

I recall reading something about this too. It had to do with them not selling enough of the 130 saddles. The demand wasn't there to warrant continued production. I think as our eyes have been opened to the benefits of wider saddles, a lot of us have scaled up.
I guess I'd better stock up on 130s then.

Been wondering with the Fizik VS line in particular that the groove is quite narrow where your soft parts end up when you roll forward to give it all. Position and shape here looks more useful.
