Another option is getting a rival left arm and sending it to 4iiii to have them attach their PM to it.

They buy complete chainsets, and then sell the drive side on ebay to recoup some of the warranty claim costs

Why not? Manufacturers have sold left crank arms forever, you can even go pick one up yourself if you so desire. And if a company is willing to put in an order for thousands of them, I doubt someone is going to say no to that.
