Anyone have specific experience with THM Scapula fork?

Buddy of mine wants to replace his Edge 1.0 on a Parlee Z3 with a Scapula SP.

I dunno if the geo of the Scapula will mess with the sublime feel of the current setup.

Reason is new for the sake of something new, plus lighter weight.

Bike (and fork) is ridden hard, fyi, many many thousands of miles per year of training & racing. Definitely not for a Sunday cafe leisure cruise.

Are THM forks built for abuse or are they more for show & less go?

do you have one? can you comment on road "feel" in comparing to what you had prior?

make sure you get the spina scapula to make the fork transition smoothly into the frame.

mike after talking w/parlee & fairwheel it turns out the sp is a 44 not a 43. my buddy's gonna pass as there's no interest in changing the handling dynamic there in that regard. lighter & stiffer would be ok, but a geo change, however small, wouldn't be ideal. and it'd be an expensive experiment.

thanks for your feedback though, it's appreciated.

is the Z3.. tapered head tube ?.. if taper wouldn't you be looking at the THM CT version of the fork ? which is also 44 in rake... I guess if you can source a made by THM for cervelo R5CA or RCA fork... they make 43s for Cervelo.

nah it's older z3 (about 10 yrs. old), all round tubes. gorgeous frame.

the current edge 1.0 fork (which is about 4 yrs. old) will be refinished to be good as new.

here's an older photo of the bike, probably 5 years ago. now it has thm m3 cranks, stem's been refinished (all black) and newer sram red stuff.

insanely light bike, but ridden and raced hard for umpteen thousands of miles.

I had the SP tuned on my Parlee Z3 (check signature). I changed to edge 1.0 for, what I felt, was a more stable and predictable riding experience.
