Can anyone advise me on what chain to go for with Super record? Is the Campagnolo record chain the best bet or are other options like KMC worth buying?

Any 11 speed chain will do the job, I personally prefer Srams 1190 Sram Red22 (made by KMC) on SR Campagnolo.

I use Campagnolo but with a KMC link, to aid cleaning.

KMC X11 or X11SL work great and require no peening. I use KMC on every client bike I build as well as my own. Highly recommended!

+1 for KMC. Have a X11SL DLC on SR and it is perfect

SRAM makes their own chains.

For further info, I've used DA9000, Red22 and Campy Record chains on my SR mech bike (as well as cassettes).

Hi
Are you using the 10 speed link with an 11 speed chain ?
I found it really useful on 10 speed and would like to use one again
Have you had any issues with it
Cheers

Use the 11-speed link with the 11-speed chain.

I used a 10sp link [before they had 11sp links] and it clicked every time it went through the rear derailleur. Never again.

No using the 11 speed link with 11 speed chain and on the one bike I have still on 10 speed Record I run an 10 speed link with the Campagnolo 10 speed chain.

Never had any problems with either and makes chain cleaning so easy. Just get the correct pliers so on/off is easy.

Invaluable tool, the missing links. Been using them forever with no issues. First 10 on 10spd chain, then 11 on 11spd chain, and even 10 on 11spd in a pinch. And FWIW, I don't buy the bit about them not being reusable. Of course, to each his own...

Good choice, the black finish looks the dogs! Plus it comes in a nice case
