My oversize TLO in a 42 is 148gr....clearly not the lightest of the batch granted it only comes in a 42 or 44 and is claimed at 135-155gr.

Yes the TLO is the lightest road bar. However it's not just the weight that impresses with the Schmolke bar, but rather it's quality. Schmolke was the one who made the very first full carbon road bar, way back in 1992. For just under 25 years they've stayed focused on road bars (and seatposts) and have continued to refine them that whole time. There is no other company that has that amount of development time in a carbon bar and it definitely shows.
It makes quite impressive results in this shoot-out also:

I have an AX bar measuring 139gr. Coupling it with a 58gr AX stem makes a pretty light combo.
Having said that, I do not think AX is as solid as Schmolke (I can't prove it. AX is not sold in the US anymore, and Fairwheel doesn't include it in its tests. So I rely on, well, my buttometr.)
If your aim is the lowest weight, AX combo is pretty attractive.
BTW, I just bought AX's Morpheus cranks for a very attractive price. I should have it 2-3 weeks. At 330gr, it will be lighter than even thm (411gr), both compact. I'll post some comparison between AX, THM, and Storck in a few weeks.
