I want to lower my bars a bit so I am looking for a budget lightweight -17 degree stem. I prefer carbon but the ones I see like this on ebay are 6 degree like i have now, any suggestions ?

Thx

Ritchey WCS, 3T Arx, they can be found on sale on Amazon, Ebay and similar. Carbon stems are often heavier than Aluminium ones. Only ever used the Ritchey, with no complaints whatsoever, but I seem to be easy on gear. Except cleats.

3T Arx team. No particular reason to go carbon as poster above me says.

UNO stem from ebay. About 25 bucks @110 grams for a 110mm stem.

for that matter, the 3t arx pros aren't that much heavier than the teams (and you can swap the bolts for ti anyway)

Cinelli pista.

I have the ARX Team. Blacked out. The 3T LTD carbon stems aren't available in -17 deg ,AFAIK. As said, no need to go carbon. I always liked alloy stems ,because alloy can be CNC'd much slimmer and results in a "better" design

The Arx Team or the Arx Pro are both great. Another option is the Zipp Service Course SL, which you can find cheap if you do a bit of shopping around.

Bumping this thread, with slightly different requirements. Looking for a stiff and light -17 degree stem, budget isn't super important. Coming from an 100mm Enve -6 (114g) and moving to a 110mm. Think I've narrowed it down to the following:

3T Arx Team: 120g
3T Arx II Team: 120g
Ritchey WRC 4 Axis: 118g
Zipp Service Course SL (2015): ~135g? (125g in 100mm size).

Leaning towards the 3T Arx Team as stiffness seems to be best (or close to it) and lower weight than the new Zipp Service Course SL, and I prefer the 2 bolt design of the Arx vs. the Arx II. Zipp has improved stiffness-to-weight on the 2015 model, but not sure how that compares to the Arx Team. Looks like the Arx Team was stiffer than the Zipp/ I prefer the look of the all-black Zipp, but would likely acetone the logos/red stripe of the Arx Team so looks aren't super important.
