The only thing better than alloy tubular wheels is hand built tubular wheels....pre builds coming in was such a downer for higher end cycling imo...

I forgot if I weighed mine, but I calculate about 1450g. What hubs are you using? My GP4s are around 405g.

I'm planning WI T11's - 32 spoke not 36 so that saves a bit. My wheelbuilder is recommending DT Revolution front and Competition rear which he says will bring the weight in around 1500g(?) - by my calcs will be around 1460g assuming 405g per rim - the Competitions add a bit over a laser/race mix. I can live with 1450g ish given that the rims are relatively light where it counts. 1500g would be a bit higher than I was hoping.

Mine are 32/32

95g front hub
255g rear hub
405g rim
405g rim
360g spokes
6g nipples

My prediction (based on Revo front/Comp rear and alloy nipples)
678g front
863g rear
1541g

Not that I think you should worry about that last 100g. Once you ride them you won't care.

thanks Ergott - I think that is the way I will go. I will post a pic of the final wheels when the new build is ready
