Can anyone direct me to an upper headset bearing or headset cover which will allow me to slam the stem on my new Canyon Aeroad CF SLX?
It has an oversize steerer tube 1 1/4".

I haven't looked into exactly what type of bearing is on the bike, but I believe it should be possible to find a replacement or cover which sits almost flush with the frame...

Pro teams are using this spacer/cover, but Canyon are so far refusing to sell it to me.

you could order a set intended for an ultimate cf slx which is round without the aerofoil at the back

it is just an expander and a 5 mm cover, the bearings remain in place

it may be worthwile to check with giant the do 1 1/4 too

Giant/Shimano also use the wanted cover (fits on defy/advanced). Guess it's custom made and for this reason not available.
If you really want one, send me a pm. and I'll see what I can do for you.

Hi Sharkman

I'm looking for the exact headset cover to make my TCR Advanced SL slammed to the top tube and get rid of the oversized headset cover on it. Do you have a source for this as the one on slamthatstem.com is sold out.

Thanks
Rhodri

I bought the special one for pro teams from Canyon 2 or 3 years ago. Had to insist several times before they accepted selling.
I also remember that price was quite crazy nearby 40€, excluding other 15€ for shipping.Image

I could 3D print you a headset dust cover if you give me the dimensions.

I already make standard size one; viewtopic.php?f=3&t=169183
