I have the first gen Campy Super Record Crankset. It's has gotten pretty beat up. Lots of chips in the top coat and the rings are quite worn. I'm not as confident about its structural integrity at this point and don't want to take any chances. I've broken a crankset and received a broken collar bone for that.

2014 Super Record has come down in price. I love the look of this crankset!

2015 Super Record can be purchased for about $250 more than the 2014. I like the look of this one too!

So, 2015 is slightly lighter and supposedly stiffer. I am wondering if the stiffness/efficiency is perceptible compared to the 2014 model.

Anyone ride the 2015 model? Would appreciate any observations.

Here you go. This guy wasn't too thrilled with the 2015 crankset:

They'll both be fantastic. Buy the one you want.

Thanks all! I reckon the crank test reveals my suspicions. Very nice test by the way, and fantastic effort!

It obvious that it comes down to what looks the best to the person buying it, and of course cost.

May have to flip a coin.

i like the ultratorque cranksets. the new ones look nice as well, but as one poster said, appeared flexy.

With the new cranks you have the option to change the chainrings to compact or semicompact depending on where you ride, so for me thats enough reason to buy them instead of the old model.
