You deserve a real man. You deserve Craig from EE.

thank heavens above that the new crankset is available again. And they've improved it by lengthening the aluminum plug-in sections, and increasing the material thickness too for more stiffness and reliability. I predict that the following iterations will have the plug in sections growing longer, and made even thicker, so that eventually, the crank will be continuous aluminum from BB spindle to pedal spindle. A true innovation in crank design!
or I could just flush $800 down the toilet and be done with it.

Not to mention heavier than Hollowgram and Exogram. Terrible design, three separate carbon tubes cannot adequately support the torsion loads that a crank arm sees, unless they are severely overbuilt, which looks to be the main difference from the original version.

Any guesses as to whether "Colin" is actually Ted or one of his confederates, as opposed to being a "real bike shop employee/customer"?On 02/02/15 in the comments to http://www.bikerumor.com/2015/02/01/irish-cycles-offers-limited-edition-green-ciamillo-micro-brakes-takes-over-u-s-distribution/, Colin wrote:I installed a set of these for a customer and had to have a set of my own. The wait has been a little longer than I would have liked, but a lot of that is me being impatient. Ted and Kristi have been awesome with dealing with my concerns even though I’ve been a bit of a customer service nightmare.
I think that handing over distribution and sales to a 3rd party is an awesome idea because they can actually make an awesome product rather than dealing with Aholes like me!

I have some pictures of the revised Gravitas 3.1, actually it is not 3 tubes now, it is 2.
It has been some modifications done.
It seems the crank will be even stiffer this way. I can't post the pics as they're too large.
I would seriously like to try it even though it has gained weight.
I think it's 460g or something in the new revised version. You could look it up at Irish cycles FB if you care.
It seems it'll be around $1000 incl BB.
I wonder if it wouldn't be an idea to have it made in a 3D CNC machine and keep it all aluminium.
Possibly this would make it less labour intense and perhaps drop a bit in $$$.
For looks alone, i liked Gravitas 3.0 better. Now it looks like some kind of weapon in a sci-fi movie.
Would be very nice to have a chance to test it towards my Rotor 3D+ MAS (110BCD (175mm arms), Aero Q-rings 52/38 with Xpresso 10 pedals is just below 900 grams).
I think if i ever bought anything from Ted, i would buy from Irish cycles. But there are too many things on the list already

Exactly, Ted does just enough to entice the next round of suckers... and by suckers I mean unwitting customers for him to steal from and lie to.
^^^ spot on.
it seams people easily forgot what happened to the earlier iterations of the crankset and the prepayments that were taken.
you cant buy fitness, but you can buy advantage.

kdawg, yes that is the latest version with two tubes.
I think it was 40g + over the three tube version, but it was supposedly stiffer and more durable.
I wonder how a machined 100% alu version would be.
It seems as the carbon role in this crank design is not needed.
It looks like there is some small welds, carbon, aluminium and bonded with some strong glue.
An all machined might come off without usage of glue, welds and carbon.
Perhaps it would make the cranks less labour intense.
