I did some searching and did not find what was looking for regarding wear and life. How does carbon fiber derailleur pulleys wear compared to stock and 7075? I like the fact that the Cf weight is feather weight and come with ceramic bearings. On my DA9000 and DA7900 I have looked and could not determine if they come with ceramic bearings. Most of what I found noted the ceramic bearings in the Sram red stuff.

Thanks for the assist all

Scott

By my highly scientific browsing skills, they appear to be .5 gram lighter than my KCNC 7075 jockey wheels. Doesn't really seem woth it at 3x the price.

Besides, the hollow gaps tend to get full of crud. I'm not sure if its a mod I'd do again. I'd probably replace with stock.

After 2 years on the KCNC 7075 jockeys, they haven't really worn at all. So for the (small) weight savings vs. stock, they're a good buy. Again, tough to keep clean.

The carbon ones, I have no idea about durability. Haven't/wouldn't use them myself. (If only for the cost factor).

I would be ineterested in getting some feeback as well.. Is there really any performance advantage over having carbon pulley's with ceramic bearings?

I'll admit I don't have big miles on my carbon pulleys... But they are a joy to ride. I installed them when I tuned my rear derailleur and added a new KMC SL chain at the same time. It seemed to quiet things down a bit... and of course in my mind I like to think that the entire world sees them... but being black, and half covered in a carbon pulely cage. I am prepared to say that any advantage other than weight has been all in my mind.

If anything would say possibly the best ones around are the Fiberlyte pulleys. I'd splurge for them next time I'm in the market for carbon pulleys, paired up with a carbon inner rear mech plate and you have neat weight saving in your RD

TBH, my one experience of carbon pulleys put me off for life, cost a fortune, saved virtually no weight at all, lasted until my first wet ride. Disintegrated.

The aluminium ones i replaced them with weighed a bit more (not as much as stock) and lasted 3 years. (Then I sold the mech)

Carbon looks awesome, however it appears that 7076 with ceramic bearings may be the better way to go...

Thanks all

The problem with the pulleys is that there is not really a worthwhile weight savings versus the 'traditional' nylon ones. Unless I was running the Berner rear derraileur, I think I would just stick with then nylon pulleys...

I have the Fiberlytes and they've held up great so far and are very light. Worth the money imho.

Token ones are terrible I wore them through in 6 months and Token would not replace. Stick to the originals in this case.
