Totally agree that the flexing between the rings would more likely give you a front shifting problem, but so far I've been very impressed with how cleanly the derailleur picks up the chain from inner to outer ring. That's been noticeably better than my old SR.

The set up tool that Campagnolo is selling makes alignment a 5 minute job, and gives consistent position.

Personally my experience of chain rub is more likely bottom bracket flex than chainset distortion. But just my opinion as I'am not familiar with the frame in question.

Can the Campy setup tool be used for non-Campy cranks/chainrings, i.e., Clavicula? The tool is really intended for proper alignment of the 2015 FD, correct?

It just sits on the chain ring and has an engraved line that allows you to line the cage parallel to the ring while maintaining the correct clearance. Obviously it's biased to Campagnolo but might well work with another chainset running a Campagnolo front mech. I think it's a new tool biased towards 2015 product.

I used the tool on a 2014 Record front mech with a Rotor chainset and it worked well. The tool has been around a little while I think, although not many places have it.

Mine came via Chickens in the UK. Look for Chickencycles.co.uk. I think they only sell via dealers not direct.

There's not much to it but it makes alignment quick and easy.

In Germany.

Is it part of the group or do you have to order it on top ?

Order it separately. It's pretty cheap but I didn't price it individually as it came as part of the packaged price.

markyboy, forget about the UK distributors. I ordered mine from here, just drop the guy an email in english and he will sort it. I think they cost about 12 quid in all and took about a week. Found it on another thread.
