This is a new one for me, probably because I usually don't deal with lower end stuff. I "upgraded" my permanently mounted computrainer bike to 10 speed (from 8 speed). The cassette and chain are new. Chain is sram, cassette is shimano and in the 2-3 smallest cogs it skips under load. Never had this w/ any sram/shimano combo before at the higher end (dura-ace/force/red). Maybe I should try a different chain?

look/feel for a stiff joint between 2 chainlinks in the new chain.

Check hanger alignment too, a slightly bent hanger may be ok with 8, but tolerance to misalignment with 10 is a little tighter.

Got it. Bad master link with the chain. Swapped it out for a kmc and no more slipping.
