My bike is a 2012 Specialized Roubaix Pro SL3. Current weight is just over 6.3 Kg, w/ 3T carbon bars and DA WH-7850 tubulars. I know that my frame is the largest "lard butt" but am not ready to upgrade that yet. I am perfectly happy with my compact 10 spd, manual shifting DA w/ SRAM red rear cassette (a 12-27, 30g lighter than my DA 11-25!!).

I have upgraded everything except for the Ultegra brake calipers and Specialized crank. Question is, how much can i save by upgrading these last two components. I am looking at a SRAM upgrades and have found the following on Craigslist:

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/bop/4724163074.html

http://tucson.craigslist.org/bop/4757263809.html

Or I can get the Red, Black edition calipers for $140.

Also i love the ride of the Specialized Roubaix, but what frame upgrade should i be on the lookout for? I know the S-works SL4 would be lighter but would something else be even lighter and still a similar ride/geometry?

I have Planet X machined brake calipers on my road bike. They brake just as good as the old campagnolo calipers, weigh ~200g with pads, and were only $120 (new). That would probably give you the best $/gram upgrade atm.
