Is it easy, and if so how do I remove the outer carbon plate on a campagnolo rear derrailleur (11 speed Record) ?

I want to sand and customize this part.

I bet it is not easy , and there are only 1 or 2 grams to be saved .

It´s for a custom paintjob, not weight saving ;-)

Couple of other sites have an overview for older mech's and knowing Campag, it won't have changed!

It is pretty easy. On the 11 speed derailleur you need torx tool to remove the 2 bolts holding the carbon plate. There are some thin washers if I remember correctly between the pivots and plate. don't lose them.
