I am learning that tire widths are not all created equal.
When I got my Gran Fondo, i fitted Schwalbe one 28mm tires. they barely cleared the frame and the rear brake caliper (on top) and after about 7 miles the rear started rubbing on the frame.
I then fitted 25mm GP4000's which clear by quite a bit. I want to find something lighter than the 4 seasons that come stock.
Does anyone have any suggestions of a good fit? It gets kind of expensive to buy tires and find they don't fit.
I am running Reynolds Assault (17mm internal width).
Thanks!

you say you are looking for lighter but the schwalbe one 28 is 255g

and the 28 4 seasons is 250g

So I not only bought tires that didn't fit, they were heavier too!
I ordered a set of Compass to try out.
Thanks

the 28mm compass fit the bike and feel great on the road. thanks for the tip.
