So the title is the question.

I have an aero bike, the Merida Reacto 906. It is "custom made" with Dura Ace 9000 group. The thing is that the bike is quite heavy. With RACE wheels it is 7.8 kg, and training wheels a bit more. I´m about to order a P2M (not type S) FSA K-force Light for the road bike as well. So the thing is, I would like to shave as many grams as possible. Christmas is coming so budget is not like super duper strict.

Here´s a list of components:

FRAME: Reacto Pro Carbon direct E
FORK: Reacto Carbon lite-direct
BRAKES: Shimano 105 5810 (just bought)
RD: Shimano Dura Ace RD-9000
FD: Shimano Dura Ace FD-9000
CRANK: Sram Force 22 (Power2max FSA K-force light)
WHEELS:
Training: Mavic Ksyrium Elite S.
Race: Shimano Dura Ace 9000 C35
TYRES:
Training: Continental GP4000 23mm
Race: Hutchinson Carbon Comp 23mm
CHAIN: Shimano Dura Ace 9000
CASSETTE: Miche or BBB (14-27t). Shimano has announced 105 for junior gears.
HANDLEBAR: 3T rotundo pro 42cm
STEM: Merida Pro Carbon OS -5 110mm
SEAT POST: Reacto Aero Carbon Flex
SADDLE: Prologo Kappa Evo
PEDALS: Speedplay Zero Chromoly
BOTTLE CAGES: Elite Custum Race

So any tips for weight shave?

brakes: try to get some other direct mount calipers.
bottle cages: some crabon drapp.
saddle: can you get something else?
handlebars: probably not too much to save there, but you can get something 30-40 grams lighter.

Oh, and I s'pose, Kalloy Uno stem would be lighter than current Merida..

remove the graphics and replace the bolts with titanium ones. Should come below 100grs.

look for either other types of dm calipers, or change the brakepads. And look for some lighter bars. :)

though these can be dangerous, even cause accidents. :) If they brake, and the water bottle gets caught by the rear wheel or spokes, that can be disastrous!.

Brakes: Might consider that.
Stem: definitely changing to a 3T or something lighter.
Seat: Yeah, that might shave off around almost 100g.
Bottle cages: Yes, and carbon cages just looks badass.
Pedals: I´ll check them out

And the Graphic tips was good. The only thing about that is that Merida is my teams sponsor, so they wouldn't be happy...
Titanium bolts will be however considered.

Do you have the 2015 edition or the 2014 edition ???

Mine is a Reacto 905 2014 edition and it comes in at around 7.8kg with a mixture of ultegra parts and pocky fulcurm racing quattro w heavy continental ultra sport II wheels.

I can reweigh mine again though, caused i used bike + body weight-body weight measurement.

The only modifications that I did to mine,
Non Matching fizik antares saddle because I love the saddle, no $ to get a new one and I can get a blinker on the ICS

3T egronova LTD + 100mm 3t Stem because I love the shape of the egronova bars.

52T 110mm bcd chainring because Im not comfortable at all with the higher cadence on the 50T

No need to save the C35's for race days... They are a bomb-proof wheelset, perfect for training and racing. I'd sell the Elites.

What are you using for skewers? Most standard quick-releases run around 130g-150g a set. However eBay is full of cheap steel bolt-ons that run around 70g a set. Unless you're riding with a support vehicle carrying extra wheels, the extra three seconds a bolt on takes versus a QR is irrelevant.
Oof.

Pic coming up soon. Just need to get my C35s from the LBS...

I have a 2014 Merida Reacto.

Well, I´d rather have a pair of good wheels for races, and "bad" for training. I race almost every weekend, so I think it is a good thing to ride alu wheels at training and carbon during race.

lots of places, since you're running some heavy gear.
