In Australia a Trek Emonda or a Parlee Altum Frame and Fork are AUD5999 MSRP
A custom Baum Ti Frame is around $7000 - $8000 including a custom paint job.
A complete Trek Project One Emonda with DA 9000 will cost in the region of $12600 with alloy RXL clinchers and custom paint will add approx $1000 to the cost of the frame.
Comparing these prices a custom Baum is not so ridiculous.

If I was buying I'd be looking at other Ti brands if 7-8k is correct...

Wow that is pretty dumb. The Enve is like the ugliest stem on the planet.

Baum have lost their appeal. After we were wowed by their original classic motor racing inspired paint schemes they've failed to really do anything new graphically for what, 4 years? For that much cash they should paint a brake pad if you want them to.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

Custom bike doesnt mean custom everything. Custom fonts, custom paint scheme, custom dropout etc. A lot of builders have their own set of philosophy on their bikes. You cant go to Richard Sachs asking for TIG welded frame. And Craig Gaulzetti will not build a frame to have an internal Di2 battery - this is non-negotiable. And don't even ask about sloping top tube frame if you wanna a Pegoretti.

All the hate towards Baum is because his frames are too expensive and no one knows why.

I recently posted my Corretto with the 3t stem and I feel that it fits the aesthetic of the bike and standard steerer tube better. Plenty light and stiff

Dude bumps every Baum thread from several years ago to generate interest for his baum sale. Sad.
