Hi all ! Just wondering if anyone has experienced the stronglight ct2 7075 chainring shifting smoothness vs the non ct2 labled 7075 chainrings. I have both sets now and wanted to get anyones input before I installed them The ct2 units are flat black in color and the non ct2 7075 are a natural aluminum color with a yellowish tint. I am planning on installing them on the Helion carbon crankset I have. The ct2 are 130 grams and the non ct2 are 125 grams for both chainrings. Thanks in advance.

Have used Stronglight CT2 and Stronglight black anodized 7075, and 'no', I don't think you will notice a difference. Take your kit into a university lab, put it through tests, do some data crunching, and there might be a difference.

Sorry for little offtopic but when I read comments about the color...

I've got CT2 in spring this year, they were black. But after riding them for season they seem to be more brown than black. Do you experience it too?

It's not the best quality photo but you can see the difference between black painted CAAD10 frame, black Rotor crankarm and the chainrings.

I would call that a different shade of black. The rotor arms could be considered a bluish black, and the 105 front derailleur a black-black.

I have in fact noticed a brown colouration forming on CT2 chainrings. I think it depends on the lube being used.

Anybody used the CT2s with Campy EPS? How do they shift? Stiff enough?
