PF30 by design allows for wider tolerances at the BB shell, and I can't help but think that the success of that adapter depends a lot on the frame tolerance, and method of installation. Plus I could be wrong but I thought PF30 was intended to use delrin inserts. In other words, I'd be worried about it coming loose in the frame.

This, OTOH I'd have a lot more confidence in. https://praxiscycles.com/product/shimano-conversion-bb/
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...

PF30 works for both delrin or aluminum cups. You just need a different loctite retaining compound for each.

PF30 allows both delrin and aluminum cups. You just need the appropriate loctite retaining compound and activator for each material. But I agree that the praxis is the best.

me too

i had the reset bearings in my moots rsl (pf30) but experienced creaking and sqeaking without end

now have the praxis conversion for more than a year and it runs absolutely trouble free

in general, pressfit bearings sitting outside the bottom bracket shell it asking for trouble

Hi,
thanks a lot for your replies! :-)

cracking and moving in the frame is, what i expected, considering the design of the reset-bb. thanks for your confirmation!
i use rotor 4624 at the moment, which offers much more contact face to the bb-shell of the frame. it works trouble-free as well, no loctite required, but with 137 gramm its a bit heavy (frame weighs ca 700 gr! ;-)

does anybody know the weight of the praxis adapters?

thanks, regards
