Help required I've tried adjusting but no success, when on small chain ring at the front and 28 at the rear it pulls away from the jockey wheel or slightly off

It runs but with a click it only happens in that gear everything else runs great, I've only noticed it lately doing some proper climbs and needing that gear.

Any advice ? I've replaced the hanger thinking maybe that was the issue but still no joy

Help :)

Chain too short?
Top pivot spring jamming?

Got any pictures?

Although I have no experience whatsoever with Di2, I'd think that a hard inner stop, via a limit screw would be a necessity, and if so would be the easiest thing to check first. It may be preventing the RD getting into the correct position.

Second would be the hanger alignment, already mentioned. Just replacing it is not enough, it should be checked with the right tool.

Has to one of those 2 IMO.

1. Hanger alignment - just b/c you replaced doesn't mean it's straight, a frame can be imperfect and new hangers are often not straight.
2. Assuming shifting is good in all other gears, verify the low limit is not too tight (IF HANGER IS STRAIGHT!)

Cheers for the replies I spent 2 hrs Saturday removing and tinkering :-) it has a brand new chain with 400 miles on it - I'm moving towards hanger

I rode with the club yesterday mine tends to look like it slightly towards the wheel where most are straight my SRAM red on the planet x is straight :( more spending

I'll video it later just in case its not that :)

the cage itself may be bent even with a true aligned hanger.

Another 1hr this afternoon and after some major pulling and swaying it went crack and I thought the worst

And then no gears :( waggled it about in frustration and it works again in the 28 and 34 really weird

I tried to take a video but couldn't get the line right to view - I'm beginning to wonder if the cage is bent from when the original hanger failed 3000 miles ago and just got worse

At least he didn't use an automotive hydraulic press to install his bottom bracket ( apologies for the inside joke)
