It seems we'll see a new groupset sometime during 2015.
Spanish Rotor!
But it's hydraulic!
I wonder what that would turn out like.
You guys having any ideas of weight of such a groupset?

The guys at Rotor mentioned to me at a recent bike show... that it's also going to be wireless/electronic shifting. Prototypes are out these. Somewhere. No idea on weight yet.

Pokerface, that is interesting! Are they throwing all in. I wonder how this will come out!?
I don't expect it to be the lowest weight on the market. But i was truely wanting to see it released after Euro bike as i was thinking i might have it on my Vial EVO D.
Well, time shall tell what Rotor deliver to us.

I'm sponsored by Rotor in the UK. They **said that they would get me a groupset to use, once it actually become available. I suspect it could be a good while still yet. But I'm happy to throw it on a training bike to see how good it is!

Ah, lucky you :beerchug:
I probably can't afford it in years to come now.

Oh, i just realized i find something weird here!
You say it will be wireless?

I spoke to Tiso about their 12 speed wireless groupset which actually were ready 2012.
They could not release it due to patent.
To me it seems Sram holds this patent.
So how can Rotor release a wireless system?
If they can, can it be they can only do it when Sram has released their new wireless?

This is a can of worms. Are you really sure it was supposed to be wireless?

I was told it would be wireless. And there is absolutely nothing to prevent one manufacturer from releasing a competing wireless system to another manufacturer. If this was the case, we'd only have one electronic shifting system on the market.

Sram may have some sort of patent on their wireless system, but if Rotor (or anyone else) develop their own independently, there's nothing to prevent it from being sold. You can't patent 'wireless shifting'.

Now, what I was told may not be correct, but I suspect it will be correct. They said "we have a new groupset coming to the market". I said "electronic"? They very quietly said to me "Yes. And wireless."

That's about all I know at this stage. Sorry.
