Looking for a light 700 x 28 tire for occasional rough rural road use. Weights seem to vary a lot from one site to another so looking for some WW suggestions with actual weights. Maxxis Refuse look pretty good, but 320g is a bit on the heavy side compared to others.

Challenge parigi roubaix. Gran Bois makes a bunch of wide light tires too. Their 28mm one is called Cerf. Continental makes the 4000s II in a 28 now I believe, but i'm not sure about the weight.

Challenge PR's are fairly fragile - Look at the Challenge Eroica for a more durable option. Schwalbe Ultremos are surprisingly durable for their weight and great 28C tyres - I assume the Schwalbe Ones will be even more so although I have only tried 25C and 23C. Like all things its a trade off.

I run the Conti Grand Prix 4-seasons in 28mm on my adventure/monster/cross bike. I ride about half road and half dirt/gravel with them and they are awesome. They have three layers of puncture protection and the 28's come in at 280gm. I was surprised at how well they work on gravel and hard pack dirt and they have been very durable. They are fairly fast on the road too. This tire has pretty much become my foul weather, winter, rain, dirt, gravel do-anything tire.

Hmmm...those two don't really go well together.

How about -

Hutchinson Sector Tubeless 700 x 28
Actual weight 295g + 25g of sealant. Lighter than many tube/28mm tire combos. No pinch flats. Sealant for thorn protection. They ride nice too

or if that doesn't work for you -

Serfas Seca RS 700x28c

$40
(measured 27.8mm new, 28.4mm stretched on a 19c rim)
Weight: 230g quoted, 222g measured
Casing: 120tpi

The GP 4-season is very good but it is narrow for a 28mm tire. More like 26, at last mine. Others have similar experience.

Fairweather also offer some nice looking 28mm tyres, so I imagine they could be Panasonic-made (similar to Gran Bois).

I run Open Pavés 27mm on my commuter CX, they come out 28mm wide on my 23mm wide rims and are very supple. You can run them at ridiculously low pressures too.

My open Pave are 27mm on my archetype rims. 4 season come up at 28mm on a the archetype rim.On a narrow rim the 28mm tyre always comes up at 26mm.

The PR has been upgraded, and is using the same PPS-2 puncture protection as the Strade Bianche (formerly called Eroica) now. Don't know about tread thickness though, chances are the latter has more rubber.

Schwalbe Ultremo ZX Evolution. Make sure you get the EVO version. Best tyre ever made. Currently stocking up in case they change the recipe or there's a zombie apocalypse and the Schwalbe factory closes. Just buy them.
