Anyone out there with suggestions on how to do this while riding? Please spare me the lecture on distracted riding. I am pinched for time and work from home, so I often ride "on the clock". I would just really like to know who is calling me so I can decide whether to stop and answer it, or continue.

I wish the iphone had a setting or app available where it would announce the caller, but sadly, no. I've seen adverts for the Mota Smart Ring, and this looks mildly promising. Unfortunately, it's not out yet.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

All I can think is that you need a smart watch......the new Apple watch would be the best if you have an iPhone.

Pretty sure voice apple voice over announces the caller id.
And I do hope that you indeed don't read text/take calls while riding. Cause i see that often, including that guy that was hit by a bus last week in front of me (through red light, headphones, texting. nice.)

I like it. It's makeing me think long and hard about it ... Ouch, it hurts.

Not sure I want to "wear" more gear than I already do, though... Maybe mount it to the bar?

Sorry, you are going to get a lecture. How about just tuning out and focusing on being safe and your time cycling.

It is the only time on weekends where I'm not looking at a stupid "smart phone" on my rides. Don't care who is calling and why.

Somehow 20yrs ago we got by in life without these things.

I made a working stem mount for my Android from a 0.99$-from-China case and 2 zip ties - pretty sure you could do one for the iPhone.
