RS685 Weight?

Rose Bikes says 954 g for RS685 (http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/shim ... aid:742883) and pair of RS785 calipers. Pair of RS785 calipers weigh 284 g (http://www.bike24.com/p293387.html) so that's 670 g for the shifters.

Ok, the BR-M9000 disc calipers are supposed to be 91g each. So that sounds like pretty substantial savings if you pair them over the R785 / 685 calipers.
i have the m9000 calipers. when i weighed them before installing i believe the savings was ~20g per caliper, not 50+ grams. there's some weird stuff going on with the quoted weights you see floating around, i think.
i have a set of just the calipers on order but have yet to receive them; they're not available yet. i'll weigh them again when i have them. don't feel like taking them off my MTB to re-weigh them now.

caliper weight (claimed) will not inlcude pads. You also have not included the weight of hoses.
If you want lower weight then a mechanical system will be lighter but the hydraulic system performs better.

Just got notification that my set has shipped from Bike24 in Germany
I'll check the weights when it arrives.
Mind you, the 2014-15 Shimano Spec docs list the following ;
Shifters (L&R) - 649g (pair)
RS785 calipers - 284g (pair) - these are the calipers with the threaded hose fitting
R785 calipers - 271g (pair) - with Banjo fittings
No mention if the weights include hoses, cables, pads etc.
And no dimensions of piston diaemeter, especially masetr cyclinders
I'll check the weights when it arrives.

Right lever assy - 325g
Left lever addy - 323g
RS785 caliper & bleed block - 117 g ea

Set of olives, barbs & nut - 7g (per lever/ caliper assy)
Gear cables - 38g only (inners only)
So the weights from Shimano that I listed above are pretty close
As an aside, a M640 Zee caliper and non-finned pads come in at 151g per end ...

How is the performance? Worth the wait/weight? Who's using 140mm rotors?
Haven't installed it yet, as hub (Circus Monkey HDW3-R+) and other 11sp parts are arriving in the next week or so. Rear wheel to be relaced with new hub, then other bits can go on.
Going from a TRP Parabox with Avid X0 Trail calipers, so will be interesting to see how it feels.

are all the component parts in the kit separate for install?
i.e. are the hoses attached to the calipers or shifters?
my confusion stems from the term "fully bled" being used (a likely misunderstood by me)
with UK braking being Right = Front and Euro being Right = Rear are the UK supplied Kits compatible with a Euro set up?

My daughter is riding them for 2 months now on her new Ridely X-Fire.
Was a bit of a challenge to get the parts on time for the first Superprestige race of this season.
Got the shifters from Shimano Europe, but they didn't have the RS 785 calipers available, so I got these from Bike24 in Germany.
Bled them myself, since they came with black hoses and my daughetr wanted white and I had to guide them through the frame anyhow.
Setup is with 160mm front and 140mm rear.
I wouldn't recommend to use the R685 or XT calipers, since you might hit the banjo hose mount with you heel, while getting on and of the bike.
Brakes deliver great performance and are absolutely trouble free (so far).
