SISL2 ...broken?

and now we know the limits of what was once a beautiful crank. (SISL and SI)
was this possibly over torqued?
Definitely not. It has been installed-a year ago- according to Cannondale instructions:

Can't even imagine how that would fracture there if it wasn't due to the crank bolt being torqued (even if only torqued to spec) That sucks. Surely that is a warranty job.

I have a really hard time believing you could over-torque it to create that kind of cracking. In would expect that the the bolt would break well before then - I broke one bolt well before I got anywhere near the recommended torque range.

Ditto. I write that having once inadvertently over-torqued an SISL crank bolt resulting in the bolt head immediately snapping off, requiring some finesse to get the threaded part of the bolt that remained out of the spindle!
