How much is the carbon spider compared to this?

Nice work looks great!

According to this: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=102919
the compact carbon spider is 45g and the standard one is 53g.

To answer a previous question, the mill isn't mine. I did this at work as a professional development project. If you're doing this sort of thing you might as well have some fun with it!

Really great work!
This is what WW forum is all about.
You obviously work in a machining shop or are a designer? Man, I wish I could do this!!

Mmmm, wonder what the weights would be for a Hollowgram or Rotor spider?

So it appears you got paid to do this too? That's just icing on the cake!

What's next?

According to R2-bike.de, the compact Cannondale spider is 42g. I found a photo of a 130mm Cannondale at 51g on a scale.
I don't know the weight of the Rotor spiders. I'd guess it weighs more.

Yes, but it would take some work. I just updated the CAD model to 130mm just to see how it would look. Here's what it looks like so far:

I'm estimating 45g.

I'm an engineer but I've learnt CNC machining in recent years.
