AX Morpheus crank installation help?
Moderator: robbosmans
Hi I'm am trying to install a set of used Morpheus cranks into a 2012 R5.
Can anyone help with installation instruction please?
I am pretty sure I need a few extra spacers but my local bike shop is hopeless and simply said that they don't fit. Can anyone help with what I need and where I can get them?
Thanks Baz

Bbright is your problem. I think you could try a thm bbrIght bottom bracket.

You can use any BB you want. I prefer the THM, it has the drive side bearing already moved out into place. It is also threaded and tightens up with virtually no chance of noise.
I lightly sand the opening of the bottom bracket so that the THM bottom bracket fits nice and tight, basically just taking the paint off the lip of the bottom bracket opening.
You may have enough room for bearing covers on each side and then room for a 1-2mm spacer on the non-drive side. You want the crank to rotate freely, if you have too many spacers it will not rotate freely. If you do not have enough, the crank will move back and forth and your chain line with change, not good for shifting.
