Park have three new cup-shaped BB tools for threaded BBs with external cups, eg. http://www.parktool.com/product/bottom- ... ool-bbt-69

Anyone know if these will work on the NDS cup with the DS crank/axle in place and the end sticking out? Yes, I know the Cyclus one will do this ... I got one.

If they don't ... you missed a chance to make a top notch tool there Mr Park.

Thanks folks.

I don't think so. I have got one but not used it yet not sure exactly what it is for. I thought one of these new tools would be for the smaller external cups on 6800 BB's and the like.

What are you doing to your BB that wouldn't require you to take out your crank as well?

??
How hard is it to tap the crank out half an inch so it's not in the way?

@bm0p700f, the BBT-59 (1 of the 3 new ones) is for the new, slimmer Shimano BB's

Very difficult with a Miche Evo Max crankset. It fits very tight. (No jokes about Nuns or poodles please).

Sometimes when you have screwed both cups into the BB shell it is difficult to fit the axle of a crankset through without a whack from a rubber mallet. Much better to fit the DS cup, fit the crankset, and then screw in the NDS cup ... to the correct torque using a torque wrench.

Interesting, good to know. Never worked on a Miche Evo Max.
