Seems a more controlled environment would be used. Dust getting in between display and outer screen. That shouldn't be a issue in electronics manufacturing.

 Wheels -- yes, but...it's better sometimes when certain things aren't "hand-built"...

I can manage to put an iPhone screen protector on with no dust in my kitchen... they should be ok.... and I work in a cleanroom during the day.

I guess that's why my PC7 came back from service with a big finger print inside of the display. I sent the unit back and it came back with clean display but few new scratches.

Well at least the unit has been working flawlessly during last couple of years.

I am well surprised, even with the low volumes, there isn't a more robust process. Torque drivers, lint free gloves, soft table top, adhesive press.

Especially at the price they charge for those things.

hopefully they invest in at least a vac hood.. with low volumes it should be good enough. I agree on gloves at least for fingerprint alone.

You guys are missing the need for protection against static electrical discharge. Its absolutely necessary when handling components like this. She puts her fingers directly on the circuit board components, and uses compressed air from who knows where to blow on them.

looks more like a local country srm servicing operation than original manufacture

handling practices for esd/dust/grease protection could do with improvement

I thought we were going to see Lance, this time assembling a PC-7. And then Greg calibrating the power meter.

That's my disappointment.
