I need to remove an Extralite QRC2 crank from the bike. The cups thread into the BSA bottom bracket, and the ball bearing cartridges are pressed into the cups. What tool is needed to knock the cartridge out of the cup so the cup can be removed?
sorry if this is obvious. Thanks!

The Extralite site has some instructions you can download on the QRC2, but there is no real info on removing the bearings as I recall.
I would check with Sergio at Extralite first about this, but it seems like the bearing removal tool designed for Ultra Torque cranksets might work on the Extralite as well.

If you get a response from Extralite, post it here for future reference.

Thanks Stoli!
I wrote extralite and got this response from Sergio Riva:

"Simply insert a small rod or a flat screwdriver from the opposite side of the BB shell.
Engage the bearing through the cup splines and push it out with the help of a small mallet."
