I'm running first generation 10 speed Di2 on my TT bike. The allen screw stripped in the wedge/expansion bolt which tightens the shifter onto the bar extensions. The expansion bolt looks similar to the mechanical version, anyone know if they're compatible? Thanks.

Drill and tap to the next size up and run a HELICOIL.....job done (see your local engineering workshop for these....they are about $5 and look like a spring you screw inn to fix a new thread.........guaranteed stronger than the original). Check it's not reverse thread first ;)
Updated: Racing again! Thought this was unlikely! Eventually, I may even have a decent race!
Edit: 2015: darn near won the best South Island series (got second in age
-group)..woo hoo Racy Theremery is back!!

Thanks for the reply. I assumed there was a 5mm bolt within the wedge, turned out to be a one piece system (built in hex). Not enough material to tap for helicoil, found a shop with the parts I needed. This part is rare, use caution all TT Di2 users!
