SLC I also have a set of CLX40s. I bought them aftermarket recently as I had read good things. Have 3500k on them now. They are a great wheelset. Light (>100g lighter than the new assaults) and stiff with great bearings (DT swiss), they have needed no re-truing.

The braking is fine. With Sram red (old version) brakes and swissstop black prince it is not as good as my ee/meilenstein setup but is fine. I wonder whether it is actually the sram red having trouble deploying full power on the wider width.
