Hi,

I've been saving for a while and am about to push the button on a Parlee Z-Zero. The reviews are awesome across the board. This morning I heard about a British brand called Comtat that sounds like an interesting alternative - £3400 vs £5700 for the Parlee, and comes in at 820g for a painted frame vs. 900-1050g for the Parlee.

One review said that it lacked something in stiffness, but wondered if anyone out there had any real world experience with Comtat. On the surface it looks like an interesting option, that would go some way to helping me upgrade to some Lightweight wheels in the process...!

Many thanks

All I can say is that the Parlees that I have ridden are extraordinary and you will not go wrong if that is the direction you choose.

Tim,

If you have the money just go for the Parlee, you wouldnt want second best, you have seen the reviews so you know the score with them,

I cant see many folks saying "WOW, thats a nice Comtat ! No offence but its a crap sounding name.

Dont shoot me down in flames if anyone has a Comtat, its just my 2 Euros worth !

Dont forget to post photo's once she is built up with 2015 Super Record :D

Ha! I like that response Campag321. Thanks both. Just doing the appropriate due diligence I guess, it's a shed load of cash.

Parlee it is. That was easy!

Ps ruled out Campag SR 2015 a month ago when I saw that horrendous chainset monstrosity. DA 9070 all the way!

The name Comtat may not roll off the tongue nicely, but their frames sure are purdy ...
Looks like Sarto frames.
