I am looking for some advice on lighter components.

Currently have a Merida Ride93 carbon, I have only changed the wheels to Campy Scirocco 35.

I am new to cycling so getting my fitness up, as the engine is the most important part.

What could I swap out for lighter/aero parts

Thanks
Luke

Wheels/Tyres are generally an easy place to start, assuming stock wheels and tyres you could look at losing at least 500g alone from upgrading those, and can be transferred to your next bike later on.

Your bike looks nice. Save those old jeans that are now too large; they might fit you again in your Forties. Losing weight in some areas is more beneficial than in others. A new pair of lighter tyres might be a good start, but the wheels are sound.

Thanks. Well I think the old jeans might be out of fashion by then!

I currently have some Ultremo ZX tyres, with Conti Race 28 tubes. I did look at the Supersonic tubes which would save around 100-105g for the pair.
