I don't understand the current C35. It looks like a deeper C24, with the same (seemingly) un-aero, Ksyrium style beefed up spoke attachments. I know appearances and test results don't always follow but it doesn't look like an aero wheel.

Also, carbon wrapped aluminium is generally accepted to be a rubbish way to make a stem with any kind of decent stiffness to weight ratio, why have they decided that it should work on wheels?

The carbon hybrid rim design works very well on the C24. There is no other clincher rim with that stiffness to weight ratio. But the C35 rim is heavier and not as elegant. Notice they abandoned the full aluminum undershell on the C50.
