C
Remember that 21.3 watts is for the complete bike. So new S5 (with those HED wheels) vs old S5 VWD with whatever training wheels it came with.
If the new handlebars save 4 watts on their own, then we are down to 17 watts. Most of that will be from just the wheels upgrade to HED. My guess would be the new frame is 3-5 watts faster?

Could it be that Cervelo have seen where people are taking brand new bikes with expertly-applied, expensive, distinctive paint-jobs and stripping them down to the dull charcoal gray of the raw carbon so that their bikes look exactly like the millions of others on the bandwagon?

Simple black tends to look boring in pixel-starved photos but good in person. And, most importantly, it's lighter.
At least they blacked out the seatpost S5. That's some restraint, anyway.

Do it.

From what I can see so far, S5 headtube is now tapered and toptube is very very different. Very cool. Applied some S3 learning to the fork as well.
With details of the new RCA, definitely sounds like Cervelo is a marketing and uninnovative company after purchase by POM.
Absolutely no engineers left in the company.

Yea. But the Cervelo logo is small and hard to read, it should be larger.

Maybe new paint, but no design changes as it new frames were just released last year. I would expect that they get design tweaks next year.

RCA looks fine except for that red paint stripe on the fork. Not sure I am a big fan of it. I liked it better on the seat tube like the current version.
Also interesting that Cervelo is going along with a batch #2 of the RCA. Phil White has said, "We're only going to sell 325 of these, but we're going to learn a lot from this." Interesting that they are going to sell more than just 325.

It goes R5CA, RCA, then RCA "evolution"
Thanks. I missed that part.
