Obviously I now don't think the chinese knock-offs are worth the hassle.

According to numerous reviews, this cage is too tight for Camelbak bottles http://www.jensonusa.com/!4CRdNFfyiU3a0 ... ottle-Cage

These look to be real nice but you can only fit a normal bottle in them my Camelbak bottle is to tight and they set flush against the frame so you need flat head screws.

Not that I noticed to be honest. That clamping force is not that strong, but then again It could be the bottle shape too, as the clamping area on xxx cages is very small and it leans toward the neck of the bottle, so that might be the reason.
Also I found on aliexpress that there is a good few suppliers selling the same type of cages but some have different writing or no writing at all. Quality on some of them could be compromised,as it the case with some cheap suppliers.

PS:

Just read that Bontrager recommends that this cage is only to be used with small bottles, and that could be that case that they also had the same problem due to lightness of the cage and weak clamping force

Fake Arundels off the bay:

25 USD for the pair shipping included.
Very tight, no complaints.

Search for: "15-30g Very light Bicycle MTB road bike carbon fiber 3K / UD Water Bottle Cage"

EDIT: Just like the genuine article, these don't work well with camelbacks.

I have a Chinese Fake Ebay Arundel cage - very tight, cheap & light. Also consider your water bottle size / weight. You will be surprised what some water bottles weigh.

i have the xxx cages in my two road bikes, if you hit the cobbles at 40k/h the bottle could fall. in the training bike it is ok but in the other I did the following, use a zipp tie and close the cage, with a heat gun or hair dryer hit the cage a a couple of minutes the cage start to soft, then put it in could whater, all this wit the zipp tie closing the cage. now the cage is tighter

It seems a lot of people are using Camelback bottles.
They seem to be on the heavy side: 76-122g : http://aerogeeks.com/2013/01/30/how-muc ... ive-topic/
Why spend $ on a light cage if you have an overweight bottle?

I use Camelback bottles with Arundel cages. They're tight, but I wouldn't classify it as not working well. As to heavy, they're somewhat insulated, which accounts for the weight. And Arundel cages aren't a light choice, they're a functional choice. Best cage I've used. I have other cages that are 1/2 the weight that came off the bike because the Arundel's simply work.

What bottles are you using? Camelback and Specialized hold just fine.
