Carbon bowties for SPlay pedals - reckon they'd hold up?

From Tuning Pedals ebay store. I know they say for display purposes only in the ebay ad, but what do you think of the chances they would actually hold up ok?

Not with any generally available resin/carbon.
You'd need proper expensive/aero space grades, even then you'd need to replace weekly.

They MIGHT last one ride.

I was a long-time speedplay user. The bowties section used to be made of aluminum, but they quickly switched to hardened steel because aluminum would barely last one season. Now some people are using aftermarket aluminum bowties to save weight, but I think it is a bad idea. Titanium might be OK, but they will probably not last as long as steel.
Parts should be as light as possible....but no lighter.

Having done a lot of work on speed plays (see my thread on "play speeds") there is no way these will hold up. The force in the cleat is significant and these would snap on a whim.
I guess there's worse hobbies than making a bike light? Right?
