105 5800 with weights

Putting 105 5800 on a new build.
New chainset (175mm 50/34T) is very nice - mostly a kind of matt/frosted black with a shiny bit along the middle of the cranks with the logo.
Cassette is 11 28
No weight for BB as I'm using the 6800 one already on bike

Thank you for posting the weights. I got to try 5800 for a couple of rides, and I was left feeling very impressed.

Based on those weights it looks like I'll be selling the 5800 grouppo from my new bike...Those brakes and shifters are absolute boat anchors.

Edit, so I tallied it up plus looked up the chain weight (257g) which gets us to 2578g. I run a Praxis BB adapter so I'm leaving out the BB weight. That's ~260g more than 6800. I plan to run an 11-28 Force 22 cassette (I prefer the ratios) which will save me another 36g. Can't justify spending ~$230 more to save 260g.

Swap out the heavy brakes and crankset and it's really not that bad. Strongly considering Shimano again if the SRAM 11-speed stuff has reliability issues (a la force and rival 10-speed rear shifters).

Problem is 6800 is only ~$225 more so you start eating into your cost savings by upgrading parts. Also, the colors won't match between the two (6800 is a grayish color vs. black or silver on 5800.) Might be worth it to get the whole 6800 group set if weight or aesthetics is important. The new 4-arm 5800 crank is only 50g heavier than 6800. Same 50g difference between the brake calipers. I'm getting the 6800 weights from the link below. I'm already running a 6800 front brake (which I'll leave on) so I'm thinking the actual weight difference in my case will be ~230g.

Some more data points:
CS-5800 11-32T Cassette - 312.5g
CN-HG600 Chain (uncut) - 262g
SM-BBR60 BB (english) - 81g
Got my 5800 groupset from Ribble in 4 days here in Los Angeles!
