Good light weight aluminum clincher sub 1500 g

What are some of the better sub 1500 g clinchers in black for campy set-up? I am looking for a light weight set of wheels that need to be black to match my bike. I would like to stay under $1,000...also I weight about 170 lbs.

Campagnolo Neutrons are good. Just under <1500g with stiff rims, CX Ray spokes and Record-quality hubs. Black and compatible for you too. You can find more Weightweenie options, like bricky's recommenations and there are others.

I second the neutron ultra, you can pick them up cheap and they work like a champ. Have no problems on them after many many miles

+1 for the Neutrons, very good wheels. But, if you can get them for under $1000, I think from personal experience with both types, the Shamals are even better (and they come in black since last year).
Also heard good stories about the Soul S2.0: very light and cheap, but haven't tried them...

I have a custom set that weights 1430g and is solid as hell. Mine is silver but you can get it all black if you'd like. It is built with dt swiss 240 hubs, dt rev and comp spokes and kinlin xr200 rims. You could build something very nice with tune hubs, back spokes and kinlin xr270 or xr300 rims for less than 1000$

I appreciate all the replies; I am going to look into a custom wheel build using Extralite or some other hubs seems like there are a lot of them out there that can be near 1185 g and right around $1,000. This seems like the best option.

this is purely a response based on the required aesthetics - the new 2011 Mavic Ksyrium SLR with the Exalith braking surface will be a very attractive wheelset - entirely black with carbon hubs shell - especially after you remove the mavic stickers. Claimed weight is around 1370 to 1400g.
Probably the biggest debating points (assuming one isn't adverse to Ksyriums themselves which many are) is that the rear wheel uses Mavic's R-Sys carbon spoke system on the NDS (it shares the same rear wheel with the R-Sysy SLR) Might be a shade over your budget but price does include tires.

or custom-made kinlin xr-200, ~200 gram hubs and CX-Ray for around 1150-1200 grams for around $600-$700.

Stans Alpha rims + Soul Prodigy Hubs + CX Ray = $720 and around 1100g.
The rims are wider than standard rims which means better cornering, better rolling resistance, better road feel, better aero advantage over similar depth wheels. And they are tubeless ready, if you want to go that route.

You won't beat that.

DT 1450 Mon Chasseral wheels. I swear by them. They're bulletproof and somewhat nice looking. Removing the decals from them, also adds to the appearance.. I think I trued my set once in the 2 years I had them, and I ride on some rough roads..
