Cassette Mixing & Chain Length

Just an update, I went ahead and got the 11-28 6800 cassette and combined them to make an 11sp 12-28 with the same ratios as the dura ace model. Super happy with this range and it even shifts better then the 12-25. Although I think this is bc the chain was too short originally.

Went ahead and got a new da9000 chain and used the big/big + 1 link method to determine correct length and everything is working perfectly.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I really do think Shimano should offer this gear range in the ultegra line.
